Matthew Powell is a sophomore and apprentice journalist at Helix Charter High School. He enjoys bringing the hype and excitement with words when covering sports along with niche topics around his school. Outside of journalism, Matthew enjoys sports such as basketball and volleyball with him being on the novice/JV team for Helix’s Men’s volleyball team. He plans to become an athlete in college, majoring in Media Studies with future plans to become a full time newscaster.
